Botswana - The Okavango Delta
The Okavango is one of the last, truly remote areas in Africa. Cut of from the outside world (reachable only by small plane), the Okavango is a unique and majestic wildlife habit. During the day, the park teems with wildlife. At night, the stars take their place and overwhelm the sky but the sounds of the surrounding game are still very audible. Whatever, the time of day it was a magicial place. Sunsets were especially hard to beat. I was lucky enough to spend five days in the Okavango on a mobile safari (Barclay Stenner) that saw us shift camp every day. It’s the way safari should be done.
